CuppaThai was built by three people who each crossed the language gap from a different direction.
CC
Christopher Chaafe
Co-founder · Australian
Christopher is an Australian who spent a decade growing up in Thailand, attending a local school in Udon Thani, then studying Communication Arts at Sripatum University in Bangkok. He learned to speak Thai and Isan (Northeastern Thai) to a native level, with an accent Thai people often can't place.
He is known to Thai audiences through The Star Season 9 (2013), and has since worked as an actor and digital content creator. The method behind CuppaThai comes directly from his own experience: learning a language the hard way, in real conversation, one phrase at a time, until it becomes automatic.

B
Boat
Co-founder · Thai creator
Boat is a Thai digital creator with an audience of more than 1.5 million. He knows how Thai learners actually talk, what they're anxious about, and what makes them give up on a language course. That understanding shapes how CuppaThai is built and how it's explained.
His work is on the Thai side of the gap: making sure CuppaThai feels native to the Thai learner (the phrasing, the tone, the examples, the pacing) and getting it in front of the people who need it most.

Tey
Co-founder · Thai influencer & business consultant
Tey is a Thai influencer and business consultant. On CuppaThai, he works alongside Boat on PR and marketing strategy, deciding how the brand shows up in front of Thai audiences, and which channels actually reach the learners who need it.
His business-side perspective shapes how CuppaThai positions itself: as a genuine alternative to paid English classes, not another app competing on features. That clarity comes as much from marketing and positioning as from product design.
